Pets are an important part of the family. Pup Up Hooray is the place that pets are excited to go to for daycare instead of being cooped up at home while owners are at work. Owners are happy that their pets will get exercise and socialization while they are at work, and do not feel pressure or guilt to have to do it themselves after a long day at work, then having to tend to competing obligations of caring for the family and for the home – they know that they will spend quality time with the pets when they come home.

Daycare is not a commodity service. Families do not seek simply adequate daycare when the welfare of their children and pets is involved, they really want superior daycare that sets their mind at ease while they are at work. When you leave your pet with a care provider, you expect them to treat your pet with the same respect and dignity as you would expect from care providers for other members of your family. Owners feel guilty enough leaving kids and pets with care providers, so they want to feel that the provider actually cares about and likes their pet.

Our dog- AND owner-centered philosophy extends beyond daycare to boarding. We primarily offer crate/kennel-free boarding whereas owners can bring their dogs’ blankets, and the dogs can roam around and sleep where they may as, just they would in a home (unless they are used to a crate in the home, then we offer some for dogs who would be more comfortable sleeping in them). As for our program, we offer a stimulating atmosphere and activities to our pet guests. We balance dogs’ active and inactive periods so that they get exercise during their stay, but they are not overly stimulated all day. We offer activities such as Chew Therapy and Cuddle Therapy for owners who feel their dogs would benefit from such activities.

We like staff to be observant enough to tell the owners about their dog’s day. We make available live remotely-accessible video streaming to customers as other facilities do, and we will be posting live status reports for each dog on a portal set up for the owners. These status reports will be regularly updated during the dog’s stay, and can be accessed at any time by owners.

Pup Up Hooray is member managed by Lannette Atiyeh and Andy Atiyeh. The Atiyehs are long-term residents of the area, and have lived in Foothill Ranch since 1992. Three of the Atiyehs’ children went to Foothill Ranch Elementary, and they have been active in the community over the years. The Atiyehs are animal lovers and, because of the demand in the surrounding communities for quality options pet owners, decided to open a pet daycare and boarding facility in their community
