The Benefits of Daycare for Dogs

I recently read an article on BuzzFeed.com that made me smile. From the article’s title, you can imagine why: “A Dog Ran Away From Home To Go To His Doggie Daycare – Riley walked a mile to go play with his friends.”  Don’t get me wrong – a dog wandering off from home alone is a very concerning thought, but I would like to imagine that Pup Up Hooray is the type of place dogs cannot wait to go to. In fact, we see that daily in dogs who arrive exuberantly ready to spend a fun day here.

Bringing your dogs to the right daycare has a lot of benefits. For example, dogs are not at home bored and lonely while you are at work (where they sometimes can get in trouble as they manifest their boredom in destructive behaviors), only to build pent up energy owners must deal with when they return home, tired after a long day at work (not to mention the guilt those owners feel for leaving their pups alone all day).  At Pup Up Hooray, dogs will play in a safe and clean environment, and learn to socialize with other furry friends. At our Playcare, the pups are observed at all times by knowledgeable and caring staff who interact with them. The dogs’ days are not all play, however – we believe in balance and enrichment. We incorporate enriching and engaging activities in our furry guests’ day, but we also make sure all the dogs get some rest time during the day (as rest is very important to dogs as well, and we do not want them to be overstimulated the whole time they are here).  We also have a comprehensive menu of training classes which owners choose to incorporate into their pup’s stay. Owners may even similarly want to take advantage of our grooming services, making our facility a one-stop-shop. Finally, our Playcare program is included in our boarding services, so that if dogs need to have a sleepover here when their owner is traveling or otherwise indisposed, the pups get to participate in all the Playcare activities.

We invite you to visit our website or come check out our facility to learn more, and perhaps sign up for our introductory offer of Free First Day of Playcare. We are happy to hear how excited dogs are to come visit us (but strongly discourage them wandering off and doing that on their own…).
